Questions About SUN E MATES & BoxxZen XL.
Quick answers about what we do, how BoxxZen XL works, and how to get started.
What does SUN E MATES do?
SUN E MATES designs secure, sustainable handoff infrastructure that helps businesses manage deliveries, returns, and other critical exchanges when people, carriers, and schedules don't line up.
What is BoxxZen XL?
BoxxZen XL is SUN E MATES' flagship high-capacity commercial handoff enclosure. It creates a secure, designated place for approved deliveries and returns when people, carriers and schedules do not line up. Municipal waste-containment configurations are addressed separately through our Municipal Partnerships work.
Who is BoxxZen XL designed for?
Potential users include restaurants, foodservice businesses, hospitality locations, beach clubs, retail operations, commercial properties and other organizations dealing with receiving, returns or controlled-handoff challenges. Municipal and Business Improvement District applications are evaluated separately as site-specific partnerships.
How does BoxxZen XL work for deliveries and returns?
An authorized courier arrives, accesses the BoxxZen XL using the approved access method, places the delivery or return inside, secures the enclosure, completes the handoff confirmation, and continues the route. Authorized staff can retrieve the items when convenient.
Does the driver need access to my building?
The goal is to give authorized carriers access to the BoxxZen handoff point rather than unrestricted access to the building itself. Final access configuration depends on the deployment.
What are the current BoxxZen XL dimensions?
The current design is approximately 8 ft wide × 5 ft high × 4 ft deep, with an approximate usable interior of 7 ft wide × 4 ft high × 3 ft deep and about 84 cubic feet of usable interior capacity. Dimensions may vary slightly by final configuration.
Does BoxxZen XL offer optional cooling?
BoxxZen XL can be configured with optional cooling or temperature-control equipment for compatible applications. Final temperature range, power needs, storage duration, and regulatory requirements depend on the use case.
Can BoxxZen XL be used for waste and recycling?
Yes. The BoxxZen XL enclosure architecture can be configured to surround compatible commercial waste and recycling containers. BoxxZen XL is the enclosure — not the trash or recycling container itself. Final suitability depends on site requirements and applicable local regulations.
Has SUN E MATES deployed any units in the marketplace?
Yes. An early BoxxZen unit was sold for $2,200 and deployed in real-world last-mile operations. Across the documented operational experience, more than 7,800 packages were secured. That paid deployment helped validate the handoff problem and inform the current BoxxZen XL commercial platform.
What does the 7,800+ package figure mean?
It refers to packages secured during a prior last-mile operational deployment of the BoxxZen concept. Historical results describe prior operational experience and are not guarantees of future BoxxZen XL performance.
How is sustainability part of BoxxZen XL?
SUN E MATES is building BoxxZen around sustainable design and material reuse. Approximately 900 pounds of repurposed material can go into a BoxxZen XL build. Additional verified material and sustainability information will be published as production specifications are finalized.
Does BoxxZen XL require power?
Yes. The current BoxxZen XL design uses a 12V low-voltage electrical system for compatible access-control and electronic features. Final power and installation requirements depend on the selected configuration.
What does a location need before installation?
Every location is different. Before deployment, SUN E MATES reviews placement, access, site conditions, power needs, delivery or collection workflow, and any applicable property or local requirements. Final installation requirements are confirmed for the specific configuration.
