FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions About SUN E MATES and BoxxZen XL.

Quick answers about what we do, how BoxxZen XL works, and how to get started.

What does SUN E MATES do?

SUN E MATES develops BoxxZen, secure handoff infrastructure for deliveries, returns, and other exchanges that do not always happen on the same schedule.

What is BoxxZen XL?

BoxxZen XL is SUN E MATES' flagship high-capacity commercial handoff enclosure. It gives approved deliveries and returns a secure, designated place to go without requiring unrestricted access to the building. Municipal waste-containment configurations are handled separately through our Municipal Partnerships work.

Who is BoxxZen XL designed for?

BoxxZen XL is designed for restaurants, foodservice businesses, hospitality locations, beach clubs, retail operations, commercial properties, and other organizations dealing with receiving, returns, or controlled-handoff challenges. Municipal and Business Improvement District applications are evaluated separately as site-specific partnerships.

How does BoxxZen XL work for deliveries and returns?

An authorized courier accesses BoxxZen XL using the approved method, places the delivery or return inside, secures the enclosure, completes the handoff confirmation, and continues the route. Authorized staff can retrieve the items according to their operation's schedule.

Does the driver need access to my building?

The goal is to give authorized carriers access to the BoxxZen handoff point rather than unrestricted access to the building itself. Final access configuration depends on the deployment.

What are the current BoxxZen XL dimensions?

The current design is approximately 8 ft wide × 5 ft high × 4 ft deep, with an approximate usable interior of 7 ft wide × 4 ft high × 3 ft deep and about 84 cubic feet of usable interior capacity. Dimensions may vary slightly by final configuration.

Does BoxxZen XL offer optional cooling?

BoxxZen XL can be configured with optional cooling or temperature-control equipment for compatible applications. Final temperature range, power needs, storage duration, and regulatory requirements depend on the use case.

Can BoxxZen XL be used for waste and recycling?

Yes. In its municipal waste-management configuration, BoxxZen XL is the container itself: bagged garbage and recyclable cardboard are placed directly inside and secured until collection. Waste and recycling handling follows the collection requirements for the site. Final suitability depends on site requirements and applicable local regulations.

Has SUN E MATES deployed any units in the marketplace?

Yes. A logistics operator paid $2,200 for an early BoxxZen unit that was used in real-world last-mile operations. Separately, SUN E MATES documented more than 7,800 packages secured across prior operating experience with the BoxxZen concept. Those experiences helped shape BoxxZen XL.

What does the 7,800+ package figure mean?

This figure reflects packages secured across documented prior last-mile operations using the BoxxZen concept. It is a historical operating metric, not a forecast or performance guarantee.

How is sustainability part of BoxxZen XL?

SUN E MATES is building BoxxZen around sustainable design and material reuse. Approximately 900 pounds of repurposed material can go into a BoxxZen XL build. Additional verified material and sustainability information will be published as production specifications are finalized.

Does BoxxZen XL require power?

Yes. The current BoxxZen XL design uses a 12V low-voltage electrical system for compatible access-control and electronic features. Final power and installation requirements depend on the selected configuration.

What does a location need before installation?

Every location is different. Before deployment, SUN E MATES reviews placement, access, site conditions, power needs, delivery or collection workflow, and any applicable property or local requirements. Final installation requirements are confirmed for the specific configuration.

Is BoxxZen XL available now?

BoxxZen XL is SUN E MATES' current commercial focus. We are evaluating qualified demo, pilot, and deployment opportunities while final production configurations are completed. Get in touch and we will review your location and intended use.
